Why use Hostinger?

Generally, shared hosting is the best place to start for almost any kind of website. Think of shared hosting like you’re renting an apartment with roommates. You get your own room, but some amenities are shared. Hostinger’s shared hosting will help you cut costs during the early days of your website, so you’re only paying for the resources you need.  Once you start to take off, it can easily be upgraded to a higher tier (like VPS plans) with extra resources to support your business. No matter what stage your project is in, there will be a hosting option to get you growing in the right direction.

If you’re looking to take the guesswork out of building your website, then Hostinger might just be your new best friend. Beginners and tech pros alike will benefit from the one-stop-shop that’s packed with helpful tools like a custom h-Panel, 24/7 customer service, and one-click software installs for WordPress or Drupal, and much more.  Shared hosting, cloud hosting, and virtual private server (VPS) are just a few of the options available.

How to use Hostinger?

Hostinger makes it easy for beginners to get started with a free website builder offered in any plan you choose. Their plans are clearly laid out, so you just need to select the one that works best for your business (choose between Single, Premium, and Business).  They only require you to enter your name, email, and password. Thank you, Hostinger, for getting rid of all the irrelevant information other hosts so desperately want to collect!

After you choose a template, everything is customizable to suit your needs. Your domain name can be connected to whichever hosting option you’ve selected to accommodate the size and traffic of your website. Hostinger offers free domain names with their Premium and Business web hosting plans, saving you some cash in the long run. If you go with the Single plan, you will have to purchase your domain separately.

They also offer a modern, easy-to-use interface where you can find everything all in one spot at the click of a button. You can track logins, update billing information, manage your domains, and monitor emails directly from your dashboard. Hostinger uses its own customized control panel instead of the ubiquitous Cpanel so that it has more control over performance and features, making it simple to find exactly what you need when

Our Rating Process

While web hosting has advanced well beyond the original 153 MB of storage from the first available site, not all web hosting sites are created equal. We assessed Hostinger based on features, compatibility, pricing, and performance. We assign all criteria a score out of 5 points for a comprehensive Hostinger hosting review to help you decide if this web host is the right fit for your small business, blog, or large-scale website.

Features – 4/5

There is no shortage of features here. Hostinger boasts an extensive list of added value, including multiple hosting options, free domains with Business and Premium plans, free web building, unlimited bandwidth, easy onboarding, and one-click installers, just to name a few. Based on customer reviews, Hostinger’s features really make this platform stand out among its competitors.

Performance – 4.5/5

Compared to other web hosting services, it is safe to say that Hostinger is an excellent example of what a web hosting provider should be. With uptimes of 99.9% consistently (backed by a guarantee) and average loading speeds of 159.9 ms on even the cheapest plan, it’s giving the competition a run for their money. The top two tiers of Hostinger’s plans give you unlimited bandwidth, while single shared hosting plans are capped at 100GB, but for a small site, that’s really all it takes for exceptional accessibility.

Ease of Use – 4.5/5

Hostinger scores high on their accessibility. One of the most critical things about hosting is being able to understand how to use it. Hostinger is almost annoyingly easy to use as it is designed with beginners in mind (even your grandmother could do it). Based on customer reviews, Hostinger is easier to use than other popular hosting platforms.  Automatic wizards take care of all your initial setups, and their hPanel not only looks great, but it also combines simplicity and functionality too.

Value – 4.5/5

Hostinger is simply one of the cheapest options available on the market when it comes to web hosting. But does this equate to value for you? We think yes. They offer some of the fastest servers and helpful customer support at one of the best prices around. Like most services we pay for, Hostinger provides cheaper prices for longer billing terms, and renewals are more expensive. However, even Hostinger’s Single plan renewal price at $2.99/month (from the introductory rate of $1.39/month for 48 months) is significantly cheaper than the rates of the competition.

Frequently Asked Questions

How to install WordPress in Hostinger?

Installing WordPress is very simple with the quick and easy Auto Installer. You might not ever need to use it since WordPress installation can be done in the initial account set up. If you happened to skip the setup, simply log into your web hosting account and select Hosting from the main menu. Choose the domain name for your future WordPress site and select Manage to access your hPanel. Once you have that open, locate the Auto Installer button in the Website section. After you have filled out the Install WordPress form, hit the Install button, and you’re ready to go. For the more experienced website builder, there is also the option to install WordPress manually or through Softaculous.

Where is Hostinger located?

Hostinger’s headquarters is located in Kaunas, Lithuania. They have servers in seven regions of the world: the United States, United Kingdom, Brazil, Netherlands, Singapore, Indonesia, and Lithuania. Hostinger is restricted to the U.S. and U.K. for the Cloud Global plan, while their Windows VPS server is located in the United States only.

How to change domain name in Hostinger?

Like most things on Hostinger, changing your domain name can be done in a few clicks. First, make sure that the domain name is visible in the list for Hosting. If you can’t find it, don’t worry; just add the new domain using the Add Website button. Under Set Main Domain, you will open a drop-down list to choose the domain you want. It’s that easy!
